Christmas 2015

I love Christmas time- so I decided to blog about this season to remember the fun and special times we had!

1. Went and looked at Christmas lights after icecream in the car

2.  Went to family advent night at church and then got to listen to beautiful Christmas music from our church choir

3. Took big kids to see the play Frosty- loved it!!

4. Had our little homeschool Christmas party at Sundance square downtown and got super cute Santa pics!!

5.  Went to the Christmas gift exchange ladies night out at church.  Haven't laughed that hard in a while

6.  Got to have a little Christmas night out with Bethany, Michelle and Maggie at Starbucks

7.  Was in town for the church Christmas performance 

8.  Sunday school Christmas party!  So so fun!!

9.  Had a 3 of some wonderful girlfriends over for a super delicious lunch and I decorated the table for Christmas.  We had lunch and coffee by the fire in the living room

10.  Went on the Christmas hayride at the church down the road with a little family from our church...included cookies and hot chocolate :)

12.  We went to a super small nursing home with the kids and sang carols to them while I played piano

11.  Enjoyed our "three p's" on Christmas  Eve.  Pizza, pjs and Polar Express

12.  A wonderful Christmas morning 

13.  Enjoyed doing Christmas advent stories at dinner

Jett E. Pants at 16 months

-When you ask him what a lion says he whispers "roar".

-When you ask him if he wants cheese he says "cheeeeeeeeese???"...it's so cute.

-Anytime you need him to walk to you just ask him to give you a high five and he will come running (see pic below)

-he always has to give daddy a bite of what he's eating (see pic below) and he makes the "o" face while doing it too.

- he's tall enough to stand on a stool while I cook 

-he uses his lawn mower now!

-when I sing "5 little ducks" he says his part of "quack quack"

Jett E. Pants Update

Ok- it's been a long time since I did a Jett update!!  He is now 14 months old and what is this cute and precious boy up to?

This is him saying "yay!!!!!"...except he says "ayyyyyyy!!!".  

His words:
Hot, on, cup ("UP"), more ("mowwww?"), woofs when we see a dog, Sancho and Abbie, after we pray over our dinner we all squeeze our hands 3 times and say "I love you"...he will squeeze his hands and say "ah, ah, ah", truck, choo choo, hi, up, yay ("ayyyyy!!!"), uh-oh, help ("ep!"), eggs ("eeeeeee-s?), and bath ("baaaaa?").  He typically puts and question mark at the end of everything!  haha!

-He waves at cars when they drive by and says "hiiiii".
-He knows where his belly button is
-Plays peek-a-boo
-He LOOOOVES books

-He walks, but doesn't chose to walk, he wants to crawl and push his little train instead.  If you stand him up he will walk back and forth between things- but still doesn't just WALK.

-He loves to turn on and off lights and to push the garage door opener
-He loves to feed the dogs his food
-He loves music and will dance to any music he hears

My little Jett E. Pants

I had just experienced child birth for the first time naturally to my precious Jett Edmonton Theiss just three hours ago...one year ago today.  My third child...my precious baby...my gift from God.  

Today- you turn one.  I truly cannot believe it.  Every time I hold you I cannot believe God gave me a third child to love and raise and care for.  

I love so many things about your precious personality that I'm not sure I can count them- but I shall try...

I really love how happy you are.  You are happy to be alive and happy to be around people and that is the biggest blessing...

I love how you wave to our neighbors who drive by...

I love how you have learned "uh-oh" and you love saying even if there wasn't anything to "uh-oh" about...

I love how you love food and will go crazy when you see your food...

I love that you love your blanket...

This past week we found out you having happy birthday sung to you...

You love swimming...

I love how you dance when music is on...

I love how you love bath time

I love how you "pat pat" the dogs

You are a dream Jett- and I am so grateful God gave me you!!!  I love you!!!!!

I love that he loves balloons so much.  He begged and begged that I would take him to the dollar store so he could spend some of his allowance money on a balloon and now it's morning, and he's sitting watching cartoons holding his balloon :).  He so precious!  (In this picture he's in the recliner and his balloon is down and to the left from the ceiling fan.) 

My Jett E. Pants

My sweet wonderful 11 month old Jett....I love that when I get him out of the bathtub and pick him up off the floor wrapped in his towel he kisses me!!  😍😍😍😍 

I love that when I pull the shower curtain back to start his bath he starts giggling and dancing back and forth.

I love that he waves at the neighbors when they drive by.

Just a few "I loves" about that little boy who has stolen our hearts.

My big boys....

My precious big boys Parker and Beckham.  What are they up to?

Well, my precious Parker (6) is just learning how to read and write from kindergarten!  

He is ready to officially join a soccer team!  

He is the most gentle and quiet spirit.  He hardly ever raises his voice and I absolutely think that is the best.

The other day I told him to put his clothes on in my bedroom after he and Beckham were getting out of my bathtub....he said "why because I'm dripping with excitedness?"  Lol...he's such a funny silly boy.

He loves to tell jokes and to tease people, I absolutely love that about him.

He loves to show how strong and fast he is.

Oh!  And he is doing soooooo great with speech!!  I think he will be dismissed soon!  I am so pleased!

Parker, my heart is so full of love being your mommy.  I love you so much and am so thankful to the Lord that He gave me you to raise, love and learn about.  You bring so much silliness and laughter to this family.  I know I make a lot of mistakes, but I hope at the end of the day you know that your mommy loves you deeply.

Beckham...my sweet boo(4) is doing really great in preschool.  He knows how to write his "name"...which is a grouping of a bunch of letters starting with a B :). It's really cute.

Beckham is the most generous little kid.  Just to make Parker happy, Beckham would give him anything.  One time he had $10 for his birthday he gave Parker over half of it so that Parker would be excited too.  It's really so so precious.

Beckham's speech is still pretty rough, but I am working with him home and it's starting to really help!

Beckham is such an incredible big brother.  He seriously loves Jett so so much.  He will spend so much time just playing with him and playing with him.  He loves that baby.

Beckham, I love you deeply.  You are such a sweet precious little boy and I'm so thankful to the Lord that he gave me you next.  You bring such a bright light to the family.  I love you so so much and am so thankful for you!!

Jett is 10 months

My little Jett, I cannot put into words how much joy you bring this family!!!  You want to know how? Well this is one way...you are just SO CUTE!!!!

Well, sometimes when you eat dinner you start to let the spirit flow and you start dancing from your booty up...I started to sing "I can't stop this feeling" every time you do it and you think it's so great.

You clap your hands when I sing "if you're happy and you know it". 

You stand up in your crib now and it's so precious!!!

You are crawling all over the place and the first places you would crawl to were outlets and cabinets...got daddy on his toes baby proofing the house!!!

You loooooove to laugh.  From someone saying "Boo!" to your big brothers tickling you...you just love to laugh.

You also are VERY suspicious of ceiling fans and ceiling lights...you keep looking at them like they are out to get you.  Your daddy might have told you some lies about them too, so that's probably why you think that 😜.

Going to bed is sometimes super easy or super hard.  If you get any kind of nap after 4 I might as well be ready for you to be up till I go to bed.  Kinda weird...none of your other brothers did that!! 

You also squeal at the very top of your lungs and think it is the best!!!  Sometimes you do it in quiet places so I have to plug you up with your paci....which you still love :)

You are eating really well now...oatmeal, scrambled eggs, broccoli, sweet potatoes, whatever I put to your mouth pretty much.  

Well, I think that's all I can think of...I love you anyway you are, Jett, no matter what you do, I love you just the way you are, I love you because you're you!!!

Jett update...

Jett E. Pants.  What was my little man up to at 8 months?  Well, here we go:

1. He had 2 teeth
2. JUST started eating yogurt and apple sauce
3. When he's crying in the car, I can sing "If you're happy and you know it" or "How much is that baby in the carseat", and he will start smiling and laughing!  It's so cute
4. If you say, "put your hands in the air, Jett" he puts his hands up...

5.  He says "dadadadadadad" and "bubububububub"
6.  Is ALL over the board on sleep...some nights he is up every two hours other nights he might sleep 12 hours.
7.  He.is.so.so.so.happy.all.of.the.time.

Now at ALMOST 9 months old he....
1. Has 3 teeth and I think is working on another, given my nigh sleep last night :)
2. Sleep is the same...I never know what to expect :)
3. He.is.so.so.so.happy.all.of.the.time.
4.  When you sing to him, he starts grinning, laughing, and whaling his hands.

5.  He is eating better!  He actually likes his yogurt and apple sauce, or avocado, or banana.  He also super loved broccoli the other night!

My oh so preciously sweet Jett.  He will be 7 months tomorrow!!!  Oh that sweet boy, what is he up to??
-he has 2 teeth!
-he still takes 1-2 naps during the day, the mid afternoon nap is typically 2-4 hours
-he is happy all of the time!!!!
-he babbles bububububububu
-he isn't eating table scraps yet...still gags :)
-he sits up great
-he loves pretty much everyone.  He doesn't have the separation stuff like my other two had...YIPPEEE!!  :)
-he looooves music and "if you're happy and you now it"
-he thinks balloons are so.so.funny
-he loves Sancho
-he loves his paci
-he does fine in his car seat
-50% of the time I can lay him in his crib awake with his paci and he will fall asleep....though, I still LOVE to rock him.
I seriously love this child.  He has captured my heart the way the other two did, and I'm just loving it!!!!

His Mercies ARE new every morning....

I'm just sitting here with a heavy heart...heavy with a lot of emotion, and some conflicting.  I have a heart of gratitude, an anxious heart, I'm even feeling a little bit of homesickness.  Gratitude is what I want to focus on though.  You see my God's mercies are new every morning.  I get a fresh start every.single.morning.  Yesterday I went to bed with a heavy heart, but in a sad defeated way.  I felt like a failure as a mother.  I was snappy with the boys, and in general not a super fun person to be around.  I went to bed feeling like I had severed my sweet relationship with my boys and they would never ask me to play with them again and be distant.  I was nostalgic as well, reading through old blogs of when Parker was 2.5 and all of my stories of blissful playing and loving each other.  So, you can only imagine after a day that I griped and barked all day, I felt like a reeeeeeeeeal winner as a mom.  As I went to bed that night, I gave myself the infamous "I will do better tomorrow" talk.  I will NOT do this, and I will NOT do that....I....I.....I.....I.....and then that soft quiet voice whispered in my ear...YOU cannot do any of what you want to achieve....it is HE that is within you.  I remembered that when I set out to make myself this perfect mom and this perfect wife and friend and perfect etc etc etc, I end up failing.  So I laid my mind before The Lord.  "Father, you must fix my mistakes as a mother".  I must say, HIS mercies truly are new every morning.  My precious Parker came into my room this morning, and snuggled with me in bed, and then we had the most joy filled FUN day of just playing.  Jumping on the trampoline, LAUGHING, and doing whatever they wanted.  Then, I had to go run a few errands and Beckham wanted to go with me...just me and my boo...and why did he want to go with me "because I love momma".  Ahhhh, melt my heart.  Everyday is a new day....even if I am a big mess up, I know that my Heavenly Father will cover my weaknesses in my children's hearts.     Father, thankyou for today.  Thankyou that I got to love and play and cherish my children...and thankyou that the days that I fail, I can have the confidence that your mercies will be new in the morning.

 I love how this boy chews on his paci.  He can put his paci in his mouth by himself now too, and I especially love that!  He's so cute...I just love him to pieces!!!

Parker's 1st tooth

My baby has lost his first tooth.  It's so exciting and yet so heart wrenching!!  He is growing up!!!  I love that boy so much!!!

Jett E. Pants is 6 months

My precious punkin' pie is now 6.5 months old.  I cannot even begin to express through my words how much fun this child is and how much I am loving raising a little baby again.  So now that he is 6 months what is he doing?

-He still is not eating food.  I chose not to do baby food this go around and just wait for him to eat little soft chunks of table scraps.  So, he still gags when I give him anything with texture...so we shall wait!
-He is SO.INCREDIBLY.HAPPY. This child loves life and loves everyone.  He doesn't mind who is holding him and just smiles and laughs.
-He sleeps really well.  He takes 2 naps during the day and one that might very well consist of 4 hours!
-He loves his paci.  He was definitely going to be a thumb sucker, but I worked and worked to get him to take the paci and at 3 months he finally took it!  :)
-He finally is taking a bottle!  ha!  Right about the time he can start eating food!  Oh well, I'll take it.
-He is sitting up great all by himself and is so content playing with toys on the floor.
-He loves loves loves the song "if you happy and you know it"

I just love this baby.  I love holding him and rocking him.  I love reading books to him and singing to him.  It's truly such an amazing time.  Since he is just now taking a bottle, Jett has gone on a lot of dates with Blake and I...but it's been fine, because it's so fun to get some one on one time with him.  I love walking around with him in my arms because I am cherishing every little minute with him as a baby.

Everytime Beckham gets a bo bo, he wants to go look at it in the mirror...this past time it was on the top of his head and he asked me to take a picture of it and show him.  Hahaha...so stinking cute :)

Having a somewhat "warm" Christmas Day to go outside and watch them ride their new peddle cars Grammy and Poppy got them.

This year has been a lot more joyful!!  I finally am starting to feel like Fort Worth is home.  The two moms I homeschool with up here are my family and God has blessed me immensely with them.  That made it easier for me to come back to as well!!!  Thankyou Lord, for a joyfilled season of celebrating Christ!!!
